Job description:
Our client an established, well-known nonprofit managed healthcare company has an exciting long term temporary managed care coordinator role available.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Possible hybrid role (pending training)
Performance Standard:
· Receives Care Plan minutes from CM and uploads within 2 business days into Guiding Care as “Case Conference” notes.
· Creates outpatient authorization shells in Guiding Care and sends activity to CM when completed.
· Assigned CM sends the MCC lists of the names of members who have been placed on part B rehab (OT/PT) or part B ST.
· Contacts members PCP office to confirm receipt of documents sent
· Uploads member consents in Guiding Care
· Calls PCP to request labs
· Accurate and timely data entry support as defined by departmental workflows:
· Participates in scheduled team meetings.
· Research, updates, and maintains integrity of team’s files.
· Coordinates all Nurse Practitioner activities including updating/maintaining schedules, on call calendar and billing sheets
· High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred
· One-year prior managed care experience preferred
· Prior experience in a health care setting preferred
· Familiarity with utilization management/case management
