Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT/AV Specialist to manage desktop support and AV (Audio Visual) for our client's corporate headquarters, providing white glove support. This is a 6 month contract/contract to hire role. Qualified candidates must be able to work on-site 5 days a week in the Northbrook office.
This role provides on-site support for users and executives five days a week, with a strong focus on conference rooms and AV systems, particularly Crestron. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering white-glove support in a corporate enterprise environment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring the smooth operation of Lenovo laptops/desktops, and managing AV equipment across multiple conference rooms. You will join a team of 11, with this position created to meet increased workflow and company growth.
Required Skills
- Experience: 2–4 years of IT support in a corporate environment, with exposure to desktop refresh, break/fix, and ticketing processes.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Office 365, and AV support. Familiarity with Lenovo hardware for diagnostics, issue resolution, and desk-side support.
- AV Expertise: Hands-on experience with Crestron systems and Microsoft Teams; proven ability to support corporate AV environments, including wireless connectivity and presentation tools (projectors, screens, whiteboards, etc.).
- Customer Service: Prior experience providing in-person executive support with excellent communication skills across phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
- Ticketing Systems: Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms.
- Additional Skills: Exposure to mobile device support (helpful but not a primary focus).
- Work Environment: Must be able to work on-site in Northbrook, IL, five days a week with a start time of 7:00–7:30 AM.
- Technical Environment: Crestron, Zoom, Lenovo devices, and Microsoft Surface Hubs.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop Support: Provide hands-on support for Windows 11, Office 365, and Lenovo hardware, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues.
- Conference Room Technology: Manage and support AV and conference room systems, primarily leveraging Crestron and Microsoft Teams.
- Troubleshooting: Perform desktop refresh builds, resolve break/fix scenarios, and manage high ticket volumes through ServiceNow.
- Field Support: Assist field engineers with Microsystems support for remote team members as needed.
- Collaboration: Partner with colleagues and report to the team lead to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Team Contribution: Work as part of an 11-member IT support team, supporting business growth and evolving departmental needs.
