Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to PCU patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and frequent assessments
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license preferred or ability to obtain Arizona licensure)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Day shift with potential weekend and holiday rotation
- Contract length typically 13 weeks (with possible extension)
