The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Requirements
- Recent acute care ICU experience required
- Experience managing critically ill adult patients
- Ability to float to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry assignments and perform task assignments in the Emergency Department as needed
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Active California RN License
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- BLS Certification
- BSN preferred
- 10-bed Intensive Care Unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
- Self-scheduling
- No call required
- Float to Med/Surg-Tele and task in ED as needed
- 190-bed Acute Care Hospital
- EMR: Cerner
- Medication System: Pyxis
- 24-hour Pharmacy
- 24-hour Phlebotomy
- 24-hour Unit Secretary
- Intensivist coverage: 12 hours/day
- Hospitalist coverage: 24 hours/day
- No IV Team
- No Lift Team
Candidates should have experience with:
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management
- Vasopressor and critical care medication administration
- Cardiac monitoring
- Rapid assessment and emergency response
- ICU documentation
- Multidisciplinary critical care collaboration
