Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients requiring respiratory therapy in clinical settings.
- Document patient assessments and therapy plans with accurate, timely notes.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment per protocol.
- Maintain strict adherence to clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and ethics.
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and safety check procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Meet personal performance targets and contribute to overall department KPIs.
- Support and educate patients and families on respiratory care plans.
- Track therapy pipelines and forecast potential patient load and needs.
- Participate in on-site training and pursue ongoing professional development.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement projects to enhance patient care quality.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist license in applicable state.
- Clinical assessment, treatment, and documentation of respiratory therapies.
- Ability to monitor patient responses and adjust therapy per protocol.
- Proficiency with respiratory equipment and safety check procedures.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, ethics, and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to optimize outcomes.
- Forecast patient load using pipelines; meet department KPIs.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and on-site training.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement projects.
