Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing for a 13-week day shift assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical interventions.
Assignment Details
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day Shift (typically 12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: 36–40 hours per week (may include weekends/holidays as required)
- Start Date: TBD
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with facility policies
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact license, as applicable)
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification preferred (may be required by facility)
- Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
