Education & Experience
- Associate degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant program: Required
- Physical therapy clinical experience: Preferred
- Physical Therapist Assistant licensure or certification in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Instruct patients in therapeutic exercise, gait training and functional mobility.
- Apply modalities and manual techniques within scope of practice.
- Monitor patient response and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety.
- Document treatments and progress accurately.
