Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our Home Health Administration team. In this role, you will oversee daily departmental operations, coordinate workflows, and ensure smooth communication across clinical and administrative teams.
You will be a key point of contact for internal staff, patients, and providers—helping ensure our care delivery runs efficiently and compassionately.
Responsibilities
- Perform front desk and receptionist duties with professionalism and warmth
- Coordinate scheduling, intake, referrals, and insurance authorizations
- Manage Electronic Medical Records (EMR), including order entry, retrieval, and tracking
- Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and departmental documentation
- Prepare and distribute physician orders, memos, agendas, and meeting minutes
- Handle departmental supplies, inventory, and administrative budgeting support
- Ensure timely mailing and tracking of Point of Care (POC) documentation for physician signatures
- Support special projects and departmental initiatives as needed
- Maintain a consistent, professional standard in all written and verbal communication
- Direct workflow and assist in maintaining operational efficiency
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience with EMR systems
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate’s degree or technical training preferred
- Prior administrative or healthcare office experience strongly preferred
