Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- Radiologic Technologist (RT) License in the state of practice: Required (CA)
- Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography (CT): Required (OR & HI), Preferred (CA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Fluoroscopy License in the state of employment: Required (CA, if operating fluoroscopy equipment)
- Venipuncture Certification: Preferred (CA & OR)
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for adolescent through geriatric populations.
- Performs Computed Tomography (CT), general radiography, and fluoroscopy procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
- Utilizes PACS and teleradiology systems to accurately transfer diagnostic images to the appropriate destination.
- Maintains accurate patient records, imaging documentation, files, and billing information.
- Ensures the integrity, security, and confidentiality of patient medical images and data in compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality assurance activities.
- Maintains adequate inventory of imaging supplies.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
