You'll be part of a team that supports rig operations from setup to teardown, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum performance.
Rotation: 3 Weeks on / 1 Week off Hours: 12 - 16 per day About the Role: As a Field Specialist, you will support day-to-day technical field operations, focusing on the rig up and rig down of equipment and systems at customer sites. You'll be the on-site specialist for troubleshooting mechanical and basic technical issues, ensuring equipment is installed, operated, and removed safely and correctly. Your work will have a direct impact on operational reliability, safety, and service quality in the field.
Key Responsibilities: Perform rig up and rig down of field equipment and systems according to company procedures and site requirements. Conduct on-site troubleshooting of mechanical and basic technical issues to restore equipment functionality and minimize downtime. Carry out routine inspections, tests, and adjustments on equipment before, during, and after operations.
Assist with the installation, alignment, and configuration of field equipment to meet job specifications. Document field activities, issues, and resolutions clearly and accurately for reporting and handover. Collaborate with supervisors, operators, and other field personnel to coordinate safe and efficient operations.
Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working order, ensuring proper use and storage. Adhere to all safety procedures, site rules, and operational standards while working in the field. Key Requirements: Proven experience in technical field operations, preferably in oilfield, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and components. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues under time pressure. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically able to handle field tasks, including lifting and manual work.
Ability to interpret basic technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices. Effective communication skills for working within a field team and reporting issues clearly.
Willingness to work a contract assignment with variable hours, including weekends or extended shifts as required by operations. Desirable Skills: Experience with rig up/rig down operations in oil and gas or related industries. Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electrical systems used in field equipment.
Previous experience operating or assisting with heavy equipment or lifting systems. Basic computer skills for completing digital reports and using field service applications. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.
Technical or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or related disciplines preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, H2S, First Aid/CPR) preferred
