Number of Beds -30
Number of Staff 57
Type of staff:
Day Shift 1 charge, RN per 2 -3 pts
Night Shift - 1 charge, RN per 2 -3 pts
The Unit has Nurse externs on staff that will assist the staff
Patient Ratios 1 RN to 2pts, but we do have overflow, ratios can increase.
Type of equipment Lenet beds, Client monitors
EMR - Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Minimum 1-year current acute care ICU experience
ACLS, BLS & NIH
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
Neuro certification
Neuro and trauma experience
List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
Rapid intubation
Chest tubes and EVD
Will treat LVAD and CCRT patients
Best personality Fit:
Flexible, willing to change assignments mid shift to accommodate acuity.
