Phlebotomy TechnicianLocation: 133 Old Road to 9 Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742Duration: 13 WeeksSchedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 Hours/WeekPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Technician to join our team in Concord, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong pediatric phlebotomy experience and be confident working independently in an off-site setting. This role requires approximately 2.5 hours of independent work daily, in addition to a scheduled lunch break.Under the direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor and Director of Laboratory Services, the Phlebotomy Technician will collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, ensure proper labeling and documentation, and support laboratory operations as needed.Key Responsibilities:Perform accurate and efficient blood draws on newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.Prioritize STAT requests, ensuring prompt specimen collection and communication with laboratory staff.Verify patient identity, process test orders, and enter data accurately into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).Label and handle all specimens in accordance with hospital and laboratory protocols.Maintain proper documentation and logs in compliance with departmental standards.Travel as needed to nursing homes, patient homes, and satellite facilities for specimen collection.Support laboratory operations by assisting with specimen transport, processing, and phone coverage.Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures at all times.Promote patient rights, privacy, and service excellence in all interactions.Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth lab operations.Qualifications:Proven experience in pediatric phlebotomy is required.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Knowledge of laboratory safety, specimen handling, and documentation standards.Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills.Valid Phlebotomy Certification preferred.Additional Details:Candidates must be available for full-time day shifts, Monday through Friday.Must be comfortable working independently for short periods daily.Participation in quality and safety initiatives is expected. #ZRCompany DescriptionFounded in 2002 by three former Monster.com executives; TalentBurst is an award-winning full-service Staffing Firm working directly with Fortune 500 companies in the US and Canada.
