On Call, Call Back Requirements: On call required
Weekend Rotation: EOW
Holiday Requirements: Rotation
Floating Requirements: Sitter role only
About Facility:
- Level III Trauma Center
- Beds: 64
Unit Information:
- Beds: 8 LDRP/Antepartum beds
- Census: Average patients/day:
Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of experience
- Will you accept a first-time traveler: Upon review
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
- L&D patients > 35 weeks, GYN surgeries, antepartum, postpartum
Patient Ratios:
- Laboring: 1:1
- Couplets/Antepartum/Surgical: 1:3
Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, NRP, FHM
Skills required:
- Experience with above patient types, NSTs, triage patient, postpartum and newborn assessments/care, nursery care
Support within the Department:
- Charge RN takes patients as needed
- RN draws blood
- FHM at bedside and nurse s station, no tele
- Resource RN
- RRT
- OB MD has a 30-minute call back time
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: EPIC
- IV Pump: Alaris
- Med dispensing: Pyxis
- Unit specific equipment:
Floating: If yes, where:
- Could float to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role
Orientation (facility and unit) :
- NEO
- At least one shift to learn flow
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: Every other
- On call: If so, what is that schedule:
- Varies, based on contract
- Holiday Expectations:
- Approval of RTO: can approve up to 7 days
