Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Medical Assistant (MA) to join Penn Medicine Specialty Medicine in Valley Forge. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity, ideal for candidates interested in long-term employment and career growth within Penn Medicine.
The MA will support physicians and practice management in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while ensuring efficient clinical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, including vitals, medical history, and documentation
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
- Perform clinical and technical tasks such as injections, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Provide patient and family education and communication
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared
- Support patient flow and maintain a high level of patient satisfaction
- Collaborate with physicians and administrative staff to meet operational goals
Schedule & Work Hours
- Shifts range between 6:45 AM 6:00 PM
- Extended hours on Tuesdays until 8:00 PM
- Must be flexible to stay beyond scheduled shift until all patients are seen
- Weekly schedules released 1 week in advance

Required Qualifications
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Prior clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work independently with minimal training
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Flexibility with scheduling and patient volume
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
- Previous experience in a fast-paced outpatient or specialty practice
