General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

· Number of Beds – OT Daily Census of approx. 250 active consults/day

· Number of Staff – Headcount 30, FTEs 17.29

· Type of staff:

· 2:1 OTR to COTA ratio

· Patient Ratios – Typically 9-13 assigned to COTAs/day (not expected to see all)

· Type of equipment – general acute care DME

· EMR - Meditech

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience

· Active KS licensure

· BLS

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· Trauma Experience

· Comprehensive Stroke Experience

· Ability to work independently with little oversight; high accountability

· Good communication and collaboration skills

· Flexibility given the nature of practice in acute care
