Job Title: Instrument Technician
Location: Canton, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Evenings | Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week (5x8-hour shifts)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Instrument Technician/Central Sterile Processing experience.
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility.
- Preferred Certification:
- HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) Certification
- Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment.
- Reprocess surgical instruments following established infection prevention and sterilization standards.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage, ensuring they are ready for surgical procedures.
- Assemble instrument trays according to physician preference cards and departmental guidelines.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, including steam sterilizers and low-temperature sterilization systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, biological testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, AAMI, and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the Operating Room team to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of sterile instruments and communicate equipment repair or replacement needs.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Evening shift, Monday through Friday.
- Scrub Color: Dark Blue (provided by the facility).
