Join a Growing Investment Firm Supporting Complex Private Credit & Investment Operations
We are partnering with a rapidly growing investment management firm seeking an early-career finance professional who is ready to build a long-term career in private investments. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of public accounting audit experience who wants to transition into the investment industry and gain exposure to fund operations, financial reporting, loan portfolios, valuations, and investor reporting.
Working alongside senior finance and investment professionals, you'll play a key role in supporting investment operations while developing a broad understanding of private credit and alternative investments.
What You'll Do- Support the operational lifecycle of complex investment and lending transactions from onboarding through payoff.
- Review financial documentation, funding requests, payment activity, and transaction records for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor portfolio activity, including cash movements, principal and interest payments, fees, and other investment-related transactions.
- Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting, fund reporting, and investor deliverables.
- Prepare portfolio analytics, performance reporting, and financial schedules.
- Support fund accounting activities, valuations, NAV calculations, and financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate with internal investment, finance, and investor relations teams as well as external service providers.
- Track reporting deadlines, compliance requirements, and key transaction milestones.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and reporting efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in public accounting, preferably within Audit at a Big 4 or national/regional CPA firm.
- Experience auditing financial services, investment funds, private equity, banking, specialty finance, or commercial lending clients is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, internal controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across finance and investment teams.
- CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
- Transition from public accounting into the investment management industry.
