Test Engineer (Quality Assurance & Performance Validation)
📍 Cincinnati, OH (Onsite – 5 days/week) | Open to Remote for Exceptional Candidates
We’re in the final phase of hiring and looking to add 2 Test Engineers to support a high-impact banking migration initiative. This role is critical in ensuring system reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance across high-volume financial transaction environments.
About the Role
As a Test Engineer, you will lead end-to-end testing efforts to validate system performance, accuracy, and resilience under real-world and peak conditions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production readiness by identifying defects early, enforcing quality standards, and supporting a seamless system transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute full-cycle testing including SIT, UAT, Regression, Performance, and Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using C#
- Perform high-volume testing (up to 200% of daily transaction loads)
- Validate system performance, throughput, and latency under stress conditions
- Manage defect lifecycle including classification, severity tracking, and resolution
- Enforce exit criteria and quality gates for production readiness
- Query and validate data to support data-centric testing scenarios
What We’re Looking For
- At least 1 year of automation testing experience, along with manual testing background
- Experience working with automated testing frameworks
- Ability to test high-volume, transaction-based systems
- Experience querying databases for data validation and testing
- Strong understanding of QA processes, defect management, and testing methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or banking environments
- Familiarity with compliance-driven workflows and review processes
