Overview Of The Role

Our enterprise client is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Marketing Operations Manager to act as the central operational hub for the entire Marketing organization. This role focuses on improving efficiency, clarity, and cross-team coordination by managing integrated work plans, supporting large-scale initiatives, and driving operational rigor across marketing sub-teams such as Content, Digital, and Brand.

The ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker and systems-oriented operator who thrives in a meeting-heavy environment, can manage complex projects end to end, and brings a high level of organization, follow-through, and accountability. Success in this role requires the ability to support day-to-day marketing needs while continuously improving processes, infrastructure, and visibility across a rapidly scaling organization.

The Basics

  • Duration: 6-months, opportunity to extend
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Hybrid; 3 days per week onsite in Foster City, California

Top 3 Required Qualifications

  • 6 to 8 years of experience in Project Management, Operations Management, or a related function within Marketing or Creative environments, with hands-on experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, maintaining, and improving operational infrastructure, workflows, and processes that support large, integrated marketing teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking ability, with advanced proficiency in project management and reporting tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Trello, Wrike).

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Marketing project management experience strongly preferred
  • Experience managing meeting-heavy workflows, including agendas, notes, action tracking, and follow-ups
  • Proven success supporting large-scale marketing initiatives from planning through execution
  • Experience tracking and managing large marketing budgets with a high level of detail (experience with large-scale budgets preferred)
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to support fast-paced, high-volume marketing environments with shifting priorities
  • PMP, Agile, or similar project management certification preferred
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms or broader MarTech ecosystems is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Strategy and Process Improvement
  • Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of marketing operations infrastructure, workflows, and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline project delivery, improve clarity, and increase efficiency across marketing sub-teams.
  • Partner closely with marketing leaders and team members to understand operational needs and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Project Management and Execution
  • Serve as the owner of integrated project management for large-scale, cross-functional marketing initiatives, managing projects end to end.
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, dependencies, and status reporting across campaigns and initiatives.
  • Drive accountability by tracking progress, managing risks, escalating issues, and ensuring deliverables stay on track.
  • Lead a meeting-heavy cadence, including preparing agendas, capturing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and following up to closure.
  • Governance, Reporting, and Financial Management
  • Support operational reporting and visibility into marketing priorities, project pipelines, and overall team health.
  • Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and reconciliation, partnering with Finance and Marketing leadership as needed.
  • Establish and maintain consistent operational rhythms, including meeting cadences, documentation standards, and communication best practices.
  • Provide ongoing day-to-day operational support to the Marketing team, including reminders, coordination, and issue resolution.

In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
