RoleWe have an opening for an Interior Designer. We operate within a hybrid work model, supporting flexibility between office time and work from home. Considering this model, this role is based in the following cities : Los Angeles, CAPosition SummaryKickstart your career by joining our Interiors team, where you'll play a key role in creating spaces that prioritize the human experience and wellness. As part of our collaborative practice, you'll work closely with clients and design teams, learning how to use industry insights and research to drive design decisions.

You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills by working on a variety of tasks, from creating material and finish palettes to preparing 3D renderings and presentation drawings. You'll also gain hands-on experience in generating interior finish drawings and details, all while keeping an eye on project scope, schedule, and budget. You'll collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members to bring projects to life.

What You Will Do

Develop a design acumen that holistically addresses the 3-dimensional space; from functionality, alignment with programmatic needs and how materials, volumes and the performance of the space all comes together.Develop design concepts that align with overall project direction and functionalityCreate graphic presentations to communicate design intentDevelop documentation and detailing skills to bring design ideas that are constructable to lifeAnalyze and integrate sustainable materials, products, and FF&E into designsExhibit a willingness to understand the value of coordination within our integrated practice by gaining exposure during site walks, CA meetings and attending lessons learned.Adhere to quality assurance / control processes, practice standards, and company protocolsApply BIM standards and ensure QA / QC procedures are metCollaborate actively with the project team, contributing innovative design ideasCommunicate effectively with team members through various methodsMeet project deadlines and understand the project workplan and timelinesDemonstrate a strong eagerness to develop and learn, actively supporting the success of projects.Required Qualifications

Undergraduate Degree in Interior Design required3 to 6 years of professional experience in interior designProfessional licensure not requiredProficient in Revit, Adobe Suite and Enscape with knowledge of Bluebeam and other architecture / engineering / interior design softwareStrong technical skills with the ability to contribute to the design process and develop technical solutionsWorking knowledge of design techniques, tools, and sustainable design principles for producing technical plans and deliverablesExcellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, with the ability to multitask while maintaining quality and productivityTO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE SUBMIT CURRENT PORTFOLIO / WORK SAMPLES IN PDF FORMATOur comprehensive Benefits at DLR Group include medical, dental, vision, disability, wellness programs, flex spending, paid holidays, and paid time off.
