JOB TITLE: Financial Systems Analyst

RATE RANGE: $48-58/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Systems Analyst collaborates with the Information Technology (IT) Department to coordinate the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of automated and manual financial accounting systems; provides technical and application support for the Company's automated financial management system and related applications; and performs financial systems project management work
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Four years of increasingly challenging experience in accounting or finance and/or financial systems analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Valid California Driver License
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and basic concepts of finance
- Knowledge of applicable state, federal and local laws and regulations
- Knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and business practices
- Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office applications to create presentations, spreadsheets, and word documents
- Knowledge and ability to use PeopleSoft, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP), and other complex software applications
- Knowledge and basic understanding of PeopleSoft, including the GL, AP, AR, and reporting modules
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management
- Ability to communicate; both verbally and in writing with agencies, contractors, customers, employees, and vendors
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate records
- Ability to prepare detailed and concise reports as needed
- Detail-oriented and experienced in analyzing and improving processes
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
