The Opportunity

As a dedicatedFinancial Analyst Leadyou willbe responsible forleading business financial process and expense categories to solve complex business problems while performing forecasting, planning, and financial modeling related to income, profitability, liquidity, capital, leverage, asset and liability management or operating expense. This role, mentors about complex financial processes. Drives and motivates team members to provide advanced analytics and insights around key business drivers.Assistsmanagement in assigning team tasks and managing workflow. Ensures all activities are completed within regulatory and compliance guidelines.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to bein the office 4 days per week.This position is based in San Antonio, TX. Relocationassistanceisnotavailable for this position.

Whatyou'lldo:

• Leads, develops, and motivates the team to provide advanced analytics and insights around key business drivers.
• Anticipates opportunities to tackle the most complex and / or unique business problems, providing proactive financial solutions with holistic and forward-looking perspectives to enable better decision making by senior management.
• Consistently interacts with senior management becoming their trusted advisor on all financial issues.
• Makes recommendations to solve short-term, as well as strategic financial business problems.
• Teaches and mentors others about complex financial processes, business drivers and systems ensuring information sharing and knowledge transfer.
• Reviews analysts work andassistmanagement in assigning tasks and managing workflow.
• Leads initiatives to develop an integrated enterprise planning process from multiple companies and/or staff agency processes and technologies.
• Directs analyses and guides the development, enhancement, and implementation of critical processes, programs, and technologies.
• Anticipates opportunities and potential solutions, leads cross-functional teams through the problem resolution process, andadvisessenior management on issues.
• Acquiresand applies expert knowledge of the business, itsproductsand processes.
• Performs complex and often unique work assignments and problem resolution across multiple systems, functions, or processes.
• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectivelyidentified, measured,monitored, and controlledin accordance withrisk and compliance policies and procedures.

Whatyouhave:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics; OR a related field 4additionalyears of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experiencerequired) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• 8 years financial/accounting analysis experience to include 2 years leading strategic financial/accounting opportunities. OR Advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, progress towards a CPA or CFA designation, and 6 years of financial / accounting analysis experience to include 1 year leading strategic financial/accounting opportunities.
• Subject-matter-expert knowledge of data analysis and relevant technical accounting/finance acumenrequired.
• Subject-matter-expert level of business acumen in the areas of the financial services operations, finance/accounting industry practices and emerging trendsrequired.
• Experience communicating complex financial/accounting topics to a variety of audiences.
• Experience using financial/accounting technologies and proposing recommendations for improvements.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Excel for significant financial data analysis and reporting.
• Experience in the application and adherence to financial regulations and compliance.
• Experience producing financial reports and providing recommendations based on data.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.

Compensation range:The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $243,340.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
