Engineer I, II or III - Systems Planning

Job Summary:

This position evaluates the performance of gas distribution and transmission systems using hydraulic modeling software. The engineer identifies and analyzes scenarios for project alternatives and recommends the most effective solution for pressure improvements, new business, main replacements, and public improvement projects to ensure cost effective and reliable service to our customers. The engineer has regular responsibility for providing system planning analysis and support to operations, engineering design, and sales as well as periodic on call emergency support.

Engineer, I (Level 3)

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

Required:

• BS in recognized engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution
  
  

Preferred:

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification
  
  

Preferred:

Related Work Experience:

• Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering field
  
  

Required:

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• MS Office - intermediate proficiency
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
  
  

Preferred:

• CAD/GIS - basic proficiency
• Project Management
  
  

Engineer, II (Level 4)

Preferred:

• Engineer -in-Training (EIT) Certification
  
  

Related Work Experience:

• Required:
• 2 to 4 years of previous gas or engineering experience
  
  

Required:

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• MS Office - intermediate proficiency
• Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization

• CAD/GIS - basic proficiency

Engineer, III (Level 5)

Required:

• 4 to 5 years of previous gas or engineering experience

• MS Office - intermediate proficiency
