ummary:Delta Defense is actively seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer with a passion for growth and innovation. As a key player in "protecting the protectors," you'll be at the heart of our mission. Lead the charge in developing and optimizing state-of-the-art cybersecurity solutions, safeguarding our organization's and customers' critical

assets.In this pivotal role, you'll work hand-in-hand with security analysts, software engineers, devops engineers, and mission-aligned vendor partners. Together, you'll weave cutting-edge security into the fabric of our daily operations and risk management strategies, ensuring that our organization's and our customers' critical assets are safeg

  • lities:Evaluate, design, and implement robust security systems. Shield our information assets (devices, networks, applications, data, users) from cyber threats and continuously fortify our security posture. Focus on reducing our attack surface and continuously improve our company security p
  • osture.Develop, modify, and implement security controls aligned with company policies and procedures that affect cybersecurity operations. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, frameworks, and regul
  • ations.Work hand-in-glove with Data Engineering, Analytics, and IT Operations to weave security and data governance best practices seamlessly into the software development life
  • cycle.Evaluate company and vendor technology infrastructure security. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, reviews, and testing to continuously improve our organizational and operational resi
  • lience.As a key member of our Security Incident Response team, apply keen investigative skills and take swift action in resolving security alerts or breaches, safeguarding our digital b
  • orders.Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability scanning on all company networks and applications. Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on severity and
  • impact.Research emerging products, technologies, and best practices to improve security posture for the company. Provides recommendations to security leadership for implemen
  • tation.Key participant in company risk and security assessments. Able to assess, prioritize, and translate report findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and securit
  • y team.Domestic travel to company headquarters and/or vendor locations on quarterly basis, with additional travel as re

  • rience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience and certifications may be cons
  • idered.Strong technical background in software development with at least 4 years experience in cybersecurity engineering role working closely with software engineering, dev/ops, and/or cloud/networking/infrastructure
  • teams.Experience designing, implementing, and managing layered security programs within cloud first architectures integrated with other large third-party SaaS/ecommerce platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Datab
  • ricks).Experience working with tech stack/tools: Python, Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Kafka, Tableau, Git, Informatica, Kestra, Excel, and/or related techno
  • logies.Experience working with tech stack/tools: JS, PHP, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Kafka/Airflow, NeonDB, Cloudflare, Gitlab, Doppler, and/or related techno
  • logies.Experience securing applications built on cloud platforms (DigitalOcean, AWS, o
  • r GCP).Deep understanding of key industry frameworks and controls including NIST CSF, CIS CSC, PCI-DSS, Cyber Defense Matrix, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&
  • amp;CK.Familiarity with a broad range of security tools and technologies including EDR, SIEM, SWG, CASB, DLP, & I
  • DS/IPS.Preferred certifications: CCSP, CASP , CISSP, Security
  • , CEH.Experience with modern network architectures and tooling to manage and support remote workforce including associates in the field (outside
