Our internal healthcare agency client is seeking an Account Manager II with strong agency and pharmaceutical marketing experience to manage day-to-day account operations within a fast-paced, regulated environment. This role partners closely with Project Managers and brand teams to oversee creative workflows, support execution of marketing strategy, and guide cross-functional teams toward successful outcomes.
Account Managers at this level are expected to operate independently, manage complex deliverables, and serve as a reliable point of contact for brand stakeholders. Success requires strong strategic thinking, polished communication skills, and the ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining regulatory rigor.

The Basics
- Duration: 1 year
- Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Location: Hybrid, based in Lake County, IL (Mettawa area)
- Onsite Requirements: 3 days onsite per week (Tuesday through Thursday, flexible); remaining days remote
- 4 to 6 years of experience managing marketing or creative initiatives within an agency or in-house agency environment, with pharmaceutical experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of product marketing, target audiences, competitive dynamics, and medical, legal, and regulatory processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams independently while maintaining strong communication and organization.
- Bachelor degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience a plus
- Digital marketing experience across channels and platforms
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and resolve issues proactively
- Experience supporting U.S. and or global markets preferred
- Highly organized and effective in a high-visibility role
- Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison between brand stakeholders, Project Managers, and creative teams.
- Provide strategic guidance to support brand objectives and marketing plans.
- Maintain deep understanding of assigned products, therapeutic areas, and compliance requirements.
- Lead development and refinement of creative briefs.
- Oversee creative development from concept through final production.
- Manage project workflows including reviews, approvals, and archiving.
- Issue contact reports and ensure consistent communication across stakeholders.
- Support forecast development and monthly financial tracking.
- Track time daily and follow all financial and compliance policies.
