Job Title: Safety Coordinator
Location: Ponca City, OK
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday–Friday; OT applicable for 6th & 7th day)

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to support plant leadership in building and maintaining a strong safety culture. This role focuses on identifying hazards, ensuring compliance, and implementing effective safety programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining safety programs aligned with OSHA and regulatory standards
- Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
- Develop and deliver monthly safety training programs for employees
- Evaluate and improve training effectiveness and compliance
- Partner with operations teams to improve workplace safety practices
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and training
- Ability to work independently and make decisions
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in environments with strong odors, noise, temperature variations, and refrigerated/freezer conditions
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CPE
- Prior supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
- Exposure to manufacturing environments requiring PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
