Travel Dietitian opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at a Level I Trauma Center.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Dietitian
- Location: Albuquerque, NM
- Shift: Day Shift | 5 × 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Patient Caseload: Approximately 6–10 patients per day
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU and nutrition support
- Certifications/Licensure: New Mexico Dietitian license (NM LD) and CNSC
- Charting System: Cerner
- Facility Type: Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Hospital, and Acute Care Facility
- Scrub Color: Wine/Maroon
- Parking: Free
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to adult patients in acute care and progressive care units.
- Manage enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN), including customized formulas and macronutrient and micronutrient management.
- Conduct Nutrition-Focused Physical Examinations (NFPE) and accurately diagnose malnutrition.
- Provide dietary education for various disease conditions.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and collaborate with providers and healthcare teams.
Important Requirements:
- At least 2 years of ICU and nutrition support experience, including customized PN management.
- Acute care experience is mandatory.
- Experience performing NFPE and diagnosing malnutrition is required.
- Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible.
- RQI certifications are not accepted.
