Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides patient-centered therapy services in inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapy programs to improve functional independence, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement and modify therapy interventions based on patient progress
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians and care team for coordinated care
- Supervise OT assistants and support staff as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Active California OT License & NBCOT Certification
- BLS certification required
- 1 year experience in acute care or outpatient (new grads considered)
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- **Expert level hand therapy experience required, used at least weekly**
Referral Bonus: $250-$500 (each referral)
