Phlebotomist
Salinas, CA
Nights 5x8, 10pm-6:30am
13 weeks Contract (possibility of extension)
$32 per hour (Negotiable)
Tentative Start Date: 12/08/2025
Job Description
- Perform venipuncture (drawing blood from a vein) and capillary sticks (finger or heel sticks).
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
- Provide reassurance and ensure patient comfort.
- Ensure proper patient identification before collecting samples.
- Select appropriate equipment (needles, tubes, collection devices).
Requirements
- 2 years of acute care experience, including infant and pediatric heel sticks.
- Must have Epic experience.
Certifications and Licenses
- California State Phlebotomy Certification is required.
- BLS-AHA is preferred.
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
