Position: Tool and Die Maker/Repair
Company Information:
Talent Tool & Die, Inc. is a privately owned corporation that specializes in building various types of single and progressive die productions, assembly, fabrication, laser cutting, plastics, and wire E.D.M.
Summary:
This role is responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining tooling such as dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures to support production in a small tool and die environment. This role requires hands-on machining, troubleshooting, and attention to precision and quality.
Essential Functions:
· Build, assemble, and fit new tooling from prints, sketches, or samples
· Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain existing dies, molds, and fixtures
· Operate manual and/or CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM as needed)
· Diagnose tooling issues and make adjustments to improve performance and lifespan
· Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs on production tooling
· Work closely with production to minimize downtime and improve tool efficiency
· Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Experience in tool and die making, machining, or related trade
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with manual machining; CNC experience a plus
· Knowledge of tool steels, heat treatment, and machining practices
· High attention to detail and quality workmanship
Work Environment:
· Manufacturing environment
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, bend and stand throughout each shift
Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
