Talent Square Advisors has partnered with a growing and highly successful organization in Broward County in search for a dedicated and accountable Safety Manager to join its team! This Safety Manager will support an EHS program and lead field-level safety execution for operations. This role reports directly into the Director of EHS and will contribute to ensuring safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and consistent implementation of company safety standards across active job sites and subcontractor operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site visits, safety inspections, and field audits at project locations.
  • Support implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and job-specific safety practices.
  • Lead daily and weekly safety talks, field coaching, and training reinforcement.
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, DOT, utility, and company safety requirements.
  • Support SWPPP/BMP field verification and erosion control awareness as needed.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; help develop corrective actions.
  • Maintain safety documentation, inspection logs, JSA reviews, and field records.
  • Reinforce subcontractor safety expectations and verify compliance on active jobs.
  • Partner with project managers, superintendents, and field supervisors to improve safe execution.
  • Escalate trends, risks, and repeat issues to the Director of EHS.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of EHS or safety experience in construction, utilities, energy, or similar field operations.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and field safety requirements.
  • Experience with inspections, investigations, training, and corrective action tracking.
  • Ability to influence crews and field leaders in a hands-on environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience around heavy equipment, energized utilities, powerline proximity, and ROW construction.
  • Experience supporting subcontractor compliance and multi-site operations.


Work Requirements:

  • This position requires regular travel to job sites
  • Work involves exposure to varying environmental conditions, including cold and hot weather.
  • The ability to respond to emergencies or incidents outside of normal business hours is required.
