Talent Sourcing Direct Inc. is looking for a Sanitation Worker for one of our clients located in city of Boyle Heights... with the following experience: A Sanitation worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize plant machinery and surrounding areas to meet Quality Control and Good Manufacturing Process.Job Responsibilities:· Clean & sanitize all equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and company policy related to GMPs and Safety protocols.· Clean and sanitize equipment using chemicals, foamer, and sanitation sprayer. Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.· Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.· Light cleaning around electrical equipment; picking up garbage from floor and sweeping with dust mop. * Clean floors using floor scrubber.· Disassemble equipment to ensure proper cleaning.· Pressure wash floors and walls.· Perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.· Produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.Abilities/Knowledge:· General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.· Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.· Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.· Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.· Ability to run sanitation equipment.· Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions and labels.· Ability to have contact with sanitation/cleaning chemicals.· Ability to observe/recognize and report unsanitary practices and conditions. · Ability and willingness to safely operate various tools and equipment including compressed air, scrapers, and knives.· Understand safe chemical handling practices and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).Physical Requirements:Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, respiratory protection, gloves, boots, aprons and/or safety glasses/goggles may be required.Slip resistant shoes/boots are required.· Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder, shoulder-to-overhead and pushing/pulling/carrying.· Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend/twist neck and back; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.· Able to lift up to 50 pounds, stack, and/or carry pans, ingredient containers, etc.Work Environment:· Ability to tolerate humid, wet working environment with temperatures up to 70 degrees.· Willing to work irregular and/or rotating shifts.· Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands.Experience/Education:· High school graduate or equivalent· Work experience in a sanitation or similar role in a food processing environment is preferred.Regular work schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
