Talent Sourcing Direct is looking for a Sanitation Assistant Manager for the 3rd shift with the following qualifications. Position Title: Sanitation Assistant Manager – 3rd Shift Department: Sanitation Reports To: QA/Sanitation Manager FLSA Status: Exempt / Full-Time Shift: 3rd Shift (Overnight) Position SummaryThe Sanitation Assistant Manager (3rd Shift) is responsible for leading and supporting sanitation operations during overnight shifts.This position assists the QA/Sanitation Manager in ensuring that all equipment, production areas, and facility spaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitizedto meet USDA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, and company food safety standards. The Sanitation Assistant Manager directly supervises the 3rd shift sanitation team,ensuring safe and effective cleaning while maintaining proper documentation for regulatory and audit compliance.Key Responsibilities• Lead and coordinate sanitation activities on 3rd shift to ensure the facility is ready for the next day’s production.• Oversee proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, tools, and facility areas according to SSOPs and HACCP plans.• Verify effectiveness of sanitation through pre-op inspections, ATP swabbing, and environmental monitoring.• Work with QA, Production, and Maintenance to correct sanitation-related issues.• Directly supervise and support the 3rd shift sanitation staff.• Provide training on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, PPE use, and GMPs.• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and issue corrective actions as needed.• Promote teamwork, accountability, and food safety culture on 3rd shift.• Maintain accurate sanitation logs, SSOP records, and verification documents.• Support audit readiness for USDA, FDA, SQF, and customer requirements.• Assist with investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation for sanitation non-conformances.• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, chemical usage, and water conservation.• Identify and communicate equipment design or sanitation challenges.• Support updating and optimizing sanitation schedules and procedures.QualificationsEducation & Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.• 3 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.• 1 year of supervisory or lead experience (preferred on 3rd shift).• Knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations, HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and SQF standards. Skills & Competencies• Strong leadership and team management skills, especially in a nightshift setting.• Proficient knowledge of sanitation chemicals, safety procedures, and cleaning equipment.• Excellent organizational and communication skills.• Comfortable working overnight hours and managing an overnight crew.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and sanitation recordkeeping.Working Conditions• Overnight shift schedule (3rd shift), with potential weekend/holiday coverage as needed.• Work performed in cold, wet, and humid environments.• Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical inspections.• Exposure to cleaning chemicals with required PPE provided.Schedule: Monday - Friday - but be flexible to work weekends when neededShift will be: 9pm-4:30am (overnight)
Salary : $71,000 - $75,000
