What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Maintenance position at Talent Source?
Talent Source is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to work for a company in the shipyard. The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and improvements to the facility and its associated equipment. Their duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling preventative maintenance tasks, reacting to maintenance emergencies, and duties assigned by the Facilities Manager.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, and motors
- Performs thread, solder, glue and assemble piping systems and other plumbing tasks as required
- Performs carpentry remodeling to include framing walls, installing drywall, mud/tape drywall and painting
- Performs testing, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems
- Performs cement work to include forming, mixing, pouring and finishing of concrete
- Troubleshoots and repair industrial machinery (i.e. lathes, drills, shears, brakes and benders)
- Troubleshoots and repair facilities equipment (i.e. boilers, air compressors and pumps)
- Performs preventative maintenance on facilities equipment
- Accomplishes water chemistry testing of boiler
- Possesses the ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Maintains landscaping throughout the facility
- Reports deficiencies and recommends areas for improvement to Manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Must have excellent written and oral skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the workforce
- Must be capable of performing varying tasks during the course of the day
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be courteous in dealing with the workforce, military, government personnel and the public
