Our client is a middle-market regional financial institution with a long history of growth and stability. The Junior System Administrator will be charged with maintaining secure, reliable and high-performing systems that support daily operations with a focus on service/help desk operations.
Responsibilities
- Point person for all end-user support
- Administer Windows Server, Datto Backups, and SAN storage
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Support Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Oversee patching, backups, and disaster recovery processes
- Manage user provisioning and access controls
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and system runbooks
- Proactively monitor system performance and improve stability
- Execute system upgrades and infrastructure changes
- Contribute to automation, optimization, and standardization efforts
- Recommend improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
- 3 years of systems administration experience
- Must have Microsoft 365 & Windows Server
- Windows 10/11
- Must have Active Directory & identity management
- Networking fundamentals
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Attention to detail in a regulated, compliance-driven environment
- Interest in automation, modernization, and continuous improvement
