We are looking for a Business Development Specialist in our Santa Rosa division. Role Purpose:The Business Development Specialist (BDS) drives growth by cultivating relationships with General Contractors (GCs) for new construction projects and building partnerships with real estate agents, home inspectors, and related professionals to generate residential reroof opportunities. This role ensures alignment with the company’s revenue and margin goals, focusing on strategic account development and pipeline expansion.Core Responsibilities:• Develop and manage relationships with General Contractors to secure bid invitations and awards for new construction roofing projects.• Build partnerships with real estate agents, home inspectors, and property managers to generate residential reroof leads.• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities across both segments• Coordinate with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate scopes, timely proposals, and smooth project handoffs.• Track and report on bid-hit ratios, close rates, and partnership performance using CRM tools.• Conduct regular market research to identify emerging GC prospects and real estate networks.• Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings to promote brand awareness.Required• 3 years in business development or sales within construction, roofing, or related industries.• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with GCs and real estate professionals.• Strong negotiation and contract literacy skills.• Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred• Experience in roofing systems and installation processes.• Knowledge and existing connections to local GC and real estate markets.• OSHA 10/30 certification.
