RF Hardware Design Engineer (Contract) – Satellite Systems | Chicago Area (Onsite)Ready to see your RF designs literally reach space?We’re partnering with a leading satellite/communications company that’s building high-reliability RF systems—and they’re looking for a hands-on RF Hardware Design Engineer to join them onsite in the Chicago & Western Suburbs area for a 1-year contract.If you love getting into the lab, turning concepts into hardware, and proving performance through testing, this role is for you.What You’ll DoYou’ll be a key contributor on RF hardware for satellite communication systems, with ownership across design, test, and validation:Design & develop RF hardware components for satellite communication systemsPerform EMC/EMI testing and support regulatory compliance effortsRun bench testing, RF signal analysis, and system-level validationWork directly with antennas, power supplies, RF front-ends, filters, and PCB-level RF circuitsAnalyze test data, generate clear documentation, and drive design improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on design, integration, and verificationLead and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware issuesEnsure designs meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements for mission-critical systemsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field3–7 years in RF hardware design and testingProven experience with EMC/EMI testing, standards, and test executionHands-on experience with antennas, RF hardware, power supplies, and lab test equipmentComfortable using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and RF simulation toolsExperience with satellite communication or RF systems is a strong plusStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skillsAbility to work onsite and commute to Chicago and western suburbsWhy This Role Stands OutWork on real satellite-related systems, not just theoretical designsBe in the lab, hands-on with hardware, every dayJoin a high-caliber engineering team solving complex RF challenges1-year contract with impactful, visible work from day oneIf you’re an RF engineer who loves the mix of design, test, and problem-solving—and you’re local to the Chicago area—this is your chance to build hardware that truly goes the distance.Company DescriptionWe care about the success of each member of out team!
