JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Preferred local to Denver candidates or willing to relocate
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in product ownership or product management roles
- Proven experience in a Technical Product Owner role
- Strong experience working directly with external stakeholders and cross-company teams
- Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and scaled Agile environments
- Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for complex, cloud-native technical platforms
- Act as the primary product and technical interface between internal engineering teams and external teams, partners, and customers
- Lead feature requirement discussions with external stakeholders, translating business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements
- Define and prioritize features, platform capabilities, and technical enablers based on business value, architectural impact, and delivery constraints
- Translate business, customer, and architectural requirements into high-quality user stories with clear functional and non-functional acceptance criteria
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineering leads, and developers on microservices architecture, API design, data flows, and event-driven systems
- Work with engineering teams to design, evolve, and optimize microservices-based and distributed architectures
- Ensure alignment and dependency management across multiple teams working in a microservices and event-driven environment
- Track, analyze, and communicate progress, risks, system metrics, and dependencies to internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, availability, security, scalability, observability) are clearly defined and delivered
- Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release readiness activities
- Make informed trade-off decisions balancing scope, timeline, quality, risk, and technical debt
- Experience working with enterprise customers or system integrators
- Background in platform, infrastructure, or developer-focused products preferably Java / Spring Boot ecosystem and microservices architecture
- Agile certifications (CSPO, SAFe POPM, SPC)
- Experience with security, compliance, or regulated environments
- Excellent ability to lead technical and product discussions with senior external stakeholders
- Strong negotiation and expectation management skills
- Ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear business-level explanations
- Confident decision-maker with a strategic mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
