Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, OR
- 4 years of relevant work experience, OR
- Associate's degree 2 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience
- Must include hands-on systems programming experience
- Hybrid role
- Onsite: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday as needed
- JCL (Job Control Language) - Required
- Mainframe / Host experience - Required
- IBM z/OS MQ (Mainframe MQ) - Required
- Experience in:
- Creating and maintaining Queue Managers and Queues ( VERY important)
- Current environment: MQ version 9.3
- CICS
- IBM WebSphere MQ
- COBOL
- Unix & zLinux
- Resolve test and production issues
- Handle customer requests:
- Create new queues and queue managers
- Modify queue depth
- Work on multiple projects such as:
- Installing latest MQ releases
- Configuring MQ on servers
- Monitor systems:
- Check queue depth
- Review error reports
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates with only basic/user-level MQ knowledge
- Candidates without hands-on experience in MQ administration/configuration
