Description
- Assessment Skills: Competently assess all stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric, delivering appropriate patient care. Conduct thorough, systematic, and accurate assessments.
- Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills through direct patient care activities, supporting patient care delivery and team collaboration. Provide appropriate nursing care and demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, adhering to guidelines. Take primary responsibility for documenting the nursing process and patient progress, including patient education.
- Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility, understanding policies and procedures, and identifying areas for clinical and professional growth.
- Patient Satisfaction: Respond professionally and courteously to patients, families, and co-workers to foster a patient-centered environment. Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Safety: Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, using safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics. Identify patients using two identifiers.
- Unit Specific Job Function: Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients. Tailor patient care according to procedures and anesthesia types, assessing patient reactions and understanding.
- Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on needs and condition changes, assuming responsibility and accountability.
- Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures, involving them and family in teaching. Conduct pre-operative and postoperative assessment and education.
- Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing. Evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions based on surgery, age, and health.

- BLS - Required
- RN License - Required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Salary : $50 - $55
