Duties and Responsibilities

• Assessment Skills: Deliver patient care across all growth stages, from Pediatric to Geriatric, with comprehensive assessments.
• Clinical Skills: Perform direct patient care activities, demonstrate knowledge of emergency equipment, and provide competent nursing care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation and assume responsibility for charting the nursing process and patient progress.
• Professionalism: Exhibit professional practice responsibility and identify areas for growth.
• Patient Satisfaction: Respond to patients and families professionally, maintaining confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.
• Safety: Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and use safe transfer techniques.
• Unit Specific Functions: Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment for surgical patients, and individualize care accordingly.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Patient Education and Chart Completion: Include patient and family in education, and perform pre and postoperative assessments.
• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Ensure timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.
  
  

Requirements

• 2 years critical care experience
• RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
  
  

Schedule

This position offers a 4-day workweek with 9.5-hour shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM. There is a STEMI on-call requirement of 10-12 shifts per month, including 1 to 2 weekends.
