The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology. This role involves applying the nursing process to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge.
The position requires expertise in peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology. This includes knowledge of medication doses, purposes, interactions, side effects, and reactions.
Requirements
4 x 10 days with start times between 9 AM and 11 AM; no weekends required.
*Float required to other CPMC campuses if needed and census permits*

Requirements
- BLS (AHA)
- CA RN Licensure
- ACLS
- PALS
- 2 years of PACU RN experience required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required
- Extensive cardiac/cath lab holding room experience required
