Responsibilities
- Provide direct, individualized care based on scientific nursing principles.
- Monitor and assess patient condition; administer medications and treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate patient records in electronic systems.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and committee activities.
- Uphold the standards of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree)
- No prior work experience required (new grads welcome)
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Licensed in the State of Texas
- CPR – Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong attention to confidentiality
- Proficiency with electronic health records and data entry
- Effective use of therapeutic medical equipment
- Solid understanding of the nursing process and standards of care
