Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, focusing on cardiac care and monitoring, in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including those recovering from cardiac catheterization and surgery.
- Interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring.
- Administer cardiac drips and manage central/PICC lines.
- Perform sheath removal and post-procedure care.
- Float to different units as needed, potentially every shift.
- Participate in storm and hurricane team duties as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC and communicate effectively using SBAR.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in telemetry and step-down units.
- Experience with pre/post cardiac cath and surgery care.
- Proficiency in accessing ports and administering blood products.
- Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform remote monitoring.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Previous travel nursing experience is welcomed but not required.
- ACLS certification is mandatory.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred.
- Certification from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is a plus.
Salary : $44 - $46
