Medical Assistant

Job Location and Schedule

Located at 8767 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90211. The shift is 8 hours between 0800-2000 with occasional weekend shifts (1 per month). ***LOCAL ONLY WITHIN A 50-MINUTE COMMUTE***

Required Qualifications

• Experience with CS-Link/Epic
• High School Diploma (HSD) or GED
• Flu Vaccinated (no exemptions/no declinations)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHS or ARC
• Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
• Ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
• 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
• Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in Internal Medicine or Primary Care
• Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
• Phlebotomy certification
• Understanding of medical terminology
  
  

Job Duties

• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current medications, and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
