What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN position at TALENT Software Services?
Duties:
- Administer medication and perform treatments on an assigned unit as ordered by the physician and within the scope of the license.
- Observe and report the effectiveness of medications and treatments.
- Ensure an adequate amount of supplies and medication are available.
- Receive and deliver a variety of information regarding the resident's medical, social, functional, and other needs.
- Participate in the receiving and giving shift reports.
- Communicate with residents, family, and staff as necessary to ensure the resident receives appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete the initial admission nursing assessment tool on a newly admitted resident.
- Assist with the development of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans.
- Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, observations, treatment, and summary of resident progress.
- Participate in our Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings.
- Gerontological/Geriatric nursing theory and practice.
- Effects of the aging process.
- Practices and procedures of team nursing.
- Practices and procedures for implementing treatment plans for resident/patient care.
- Practices and procedures of pharmacology and medicines.
