Integrates knowledge, theory, and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of the laboratory. With advanced training and education, maintains competence in all histology practices to perform pre-analytic and post-analytic procedures on biological specimens. This role aids health care providers in the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of disease.
Responsibilities may include specimen/material receipt, preparation, and archival/retrieval, as well as validation testing and problem troubleshooting, as defined by department policies and procedures. As a member of the laboratory team, the individual works cooperatively with physicians, clients, and staff to facilitate superior patient care and to represent the laboratory positively by acting with courtesy, dignity, respect, and professionalism.
Requirements
5x8s - 0600-1430, on call Tuesday through Saturday

Requirements
- ASCP-HT OR ASCP-HTL preferred
- Experience in a hospital clinical laboratory
- 1 year of experience
