- Obtain necessary medical, surgical, and radiological supplies for procedures.
- Maintain sterility of field and instruments.
- Correctly prepare requisitions.
- Communicate with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while maintaining privacy and dignity.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and respect patient privacy.
- Verify patient identification according to AHS policy.
- Observe patient’s condition before and after contrast injections and report changes.
- Ensure availability of medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient history.
- Initiate emergency response in case of complications.
- Maintain adequate linen, contrast media, and biopsy/drainage supplies in scanning rooms.
- Adhere to room assignments and assist in maintaining CT storeroom and inventory.
- Participate in daily inventory and stocking of supplies.
- Notify Lead of expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.
- Clean and inventory supplies, and participate in routine cleaning of equipment.
- Manage workflow and coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests.
- Communicate patient status with all departments and ensure timely patient transport post-procedure.
- Assist in performing routine procedures and assess patient ability to tolerate contrast.
- Screen for allergies/medication incompatibilities and maintain cleanliness of the working area.
- Notify Coordinator or Lead of equipment malfunctions and maintain QA/QC requirements.
- Recognize unusual conditions in equipment operation and alert appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to venipuncture and power injector protocols.
- Notify radiologist of immediate results for cases requiring urgent attention.
- Report any unusual findings to the radiologist to ensure optimum patient care.
- Required Education: HS diploma/GED and completion of a Radiographer Technical training program from a School of Radiography or College-based Radiography program.

Salary : $75 - $80
