Job Responsibilities
- Understand general use of radiologic and monitoring equipment.
- Perform departmental functions within Epic; communicate with technical coordinator, material coordinator, or senior staff to maintain equipment and supply.
- Operate specialized equipment according to protocols.
- Assist physicians in using specialized equipment during procedures (e.g., IVUS, pressure wire, IABP, Bloom stimulator, EPT, and Healthcare RF sources).
- Attend vendor in-services to learn new equipment.
- Support new technologies.
- Perform patient care appropriate to the patient population.
- Assist in transporting patients to and from the department.
- Perform appropriate patient care in a sterile environment under the guidance of the physician and RN.
- Assist in other areas of cardiology as directed by management.
- Support unit/hospital goals through performance improvement and educational activities.
- Attend mandatory in-services and meet department educational standards; accurately complete any variance reports; modify behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and meet department requirements.
- Stock and maintain the department.
- Perform environmental scrub downs to promote an aseptic environment.
- Assist in setting up procedure rooms each morning (e.g., transducers).
- Perform any other necessary functions as deemed necessary by management.
- Communicate with material coordinator concerning supply issues and technical coordinator concerning equipment issues.
- Exercise independent judgment in planning the sequence of operations and making decisions in a complex technical or professional field.
- Work directly with patients and/or customers, including internal and external interactions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff.
- Frequently interact with individuals at Director level or above.
- Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to integrate the analysis of data to develop knowledge, concepts, or interpretations.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.
- Detail-oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
- OR Documentation of Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentials.
- Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT - R) and/or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist).
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification within one year of employment.
Salary : $62 - $64
