Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a R&D Technician for a contract position in Minnetonka, MN. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary:
This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions. Testing is primarily mechanical testing utilizing custom-built fixturing and Instron equipment.
- Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to the design and process concepts.
- Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
- Assist project teams in assessing and establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
- Act as a resource to other employees.
- Communicate project status to project teams.
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Qualifications:
- AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline and 3 years of related experience.
- May be some lifting and bending.
- Knowledge of Instron Wave Matrix software a plus.
- Med Device experience preferred
- Mechanical testing
